This is a friendly reminder to all eligible citizens of Soviet Canuckistan to VOTE, DAMMIT! A month ago I, like everyone else, assumed this would be a sleeper election rather than a game-changer. Oops, sorry! It still may not turn out to change much (depending on whose polls you believe) but in my view, there is no such thing as an unnecessary election.

I post this kind of reminder every time (2004, 2006, 2008) and given the population of my friends list I really don't think that any of my readers wake up and say, "Oh, right, I should listen to some random internet personage and go and do my civic duty". But maybe you don't know where, when, and how, in which case I suggest you go to the Voter Information Service. But even if no one is affected, the message is the same: Whatever your doubts about the value of the process, whatever your political stripes and inclinations, please go and do it.
